The family firm of Meikles of Scotland Limited has been producing Stag's Breath Liqueur in Newtonmore since 1989.  This thriving village lies at the very heart of the Scottish Highlands, within the district of Badenoch. Translated from the Gaelic, Badenoch means 'the drowned land'; the area floods extensively each spring as the snow melts on the high mountains and the River Spey - the great 'whisky river' - overflows its banks.

Rich in scenery and wildlife, this environment is a magnificent one, with its pure air and clear waters, within which to create their unique Stag's Breath Liqueur.

Stag's Breath is a blend of fine Speyside whiskies and fermented heather honey-comb, which is now finding favour amongst discriminating drinkers..
